Советом ИРВИО был выработан обширный план мероприятий, включающий в себя не только посещение официальных лиц, но и культурную программу. |

| Received 2022.03.18 | Abstract. This article is a publication of historical sources on the activities of the Imperial Russian Military Historical Society (IRMHS). IRMHS was founded in 1907 and brought together military historians, publicists and all those interested in the military history of Russia. Researchers in different historical periods turned to the study of IRMHS activities. Nevertheless, the problem of international cooperation has not been comprehended in the scientific literature, the system of communications of the militaryhistorical society has not been analyzed. The author found that the IRMHS members launched an active work to preserve historical memory both within the Russian Empire and beyond its borders. In particular, the Imperial Russian Military Historical Society made attempts to establish cooperation with Romania, which resulted in a scientific trip of members of the Odessa department in 1909 to study the Rymnik battlefield. The materials presented in the article are devoted to the return visit of the Romanian delegation to Russia. These sources are stored in the Department of Manuscripts of the Russian National Library and are published for the first time. The first three documents were found in the fund of one of the active founding members of the society, G.S. Gabaev. These sources contain information about organizational issues related to the stay of the Romanian delegation in St. Petersburg. In the fund of another founding member of the military historical society K.A. Voensky, photographs of the Romanian delegation and members of the Imperial Russian Military Historical Society were found. This work is of interest to researchers involved in the study of the system of international scientific relations and the military history of the Russian Empire. |
